Privacy policy
Last updated 26 August 2026
Levich Academy is a free online course run by Levich. This policy explains what we collect when you use academy.levich.co, why we collect it and who else is involved. It is short because the site does very little with your data.
The short version
We keep your email address, your name as Google gives it to us, and a record of what you have finished. We do this so that your progress follows you from one device to another. There is no advertising on this site, there are no analytics, and we do not track you. We have never sold anyone's data and we do not intend to start.
What we collect, and why
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Your email address and display name, from your Google account | To identify your account, so that your progress is yours and not somebody else's |
| Which days and problems you have completed | To show you where you are and what comes next |
| Your streak, your best streak, the date you last studied and your experience points | To draw the progress figures on your dashboard |
| A record of each completed item and the date it was completed | To draw the activity graph |
That is the entire list. We do not ask for your real name, your location, your telephone number or your date of birth, and we do not receive them.
What stays in your browser
A good deal of this site runs on your own machine and never reaches us at all.
- The practice database. The exercises run against a real PostgreSQL database compiled to WebAssembly and stored in your browser. Every query you write runs there. We never see your queries, your answers or your mistakes.
- A copy of your progress. Kept in local storage so the site works while you are offline, and synchronised with our copy when you are online.
- Lessons you have opened. Cached in local storage so that reading a day again does not need the network.
Cookies
We do not set any cookies. Signing in stores a session token in your browser's local storage, which is what keeps you signed in between visits. Nothing on this site is used to follow you around the internet, and there is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
Who else is involved
- Google handles signing in. We never see your password. Google's own privacy policy applies to that part.
- Supabase hosts the database that holds your account and your progress, and provides the authentication service.
That is the whole list. Everything else this site needs, including the PostgreSQL engine, the fonts and the sign-in library, is served from our own server. No content delivery network sees you reading a lesson, because there is not one involved.
We do not share your data with anyone beyond the two parties above, and neither of them is paid to profile you.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. If you ask us to delete it, we remove your account and your progress. You can also clear your progress yourself at any time using the reset button at the bottom of your dashboard, although that clears the record rather than the account.
Your rights
You may ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it altogether. Write tocontact@levich.co and we will deal with it. There is no form to fill in and no retention team to talk you out of it.
Age
You must be 18 or over to hold an account. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, anyone under 18 in India is treated as a child, and processing a child's data requires verifiable consent from a parent or guardian. We are not set up to obtain that consent, so we do not accept accounts from anyone younger.
This limits the account, not the learning. The whole curriculum is readable without signing in, so a younger reader can still use the material. They simply cannot save progress. If you believe someone under 18 has created an account, please tell us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect, we will change this page and update the date at the top. We will not quietly start collecting something new and leave this page as it was.
